Summary: The Theory of Social and Economic Organization is a book by Max Weber that was translated into English by A. M. Henderson and Talcott Parsons. As stated in the book's Preface, it is "a translation of part I of Max Weber's Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft, which was in turn originally published as volume III of the collaborative work Grundriss der Sozialoekonomik." In addition, the book contains an 84-page Introduction by Parsons.
